Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala to earn £130,000 per year on her new appointment.


Former Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has been appointed an independent non-executive director at Standard Chartered Plc in the United Kingdom where she would be
earning  £130,000 per year. 
Standard Chartered PLC is a British multinational banking and financial services company with its headquarters in London and with a presence in 70 countries. Her appointment takes effect from November 1st 2017. Chairman of the bank, José Viñals, in the statement said “Ngozi is a globally recognised African figure. She has significant geopolitical, economic, risk and development experience and expertise at a national governmental level and in international organisations, which will provide significant insight and value to the Board. She also has deep knowledge of Africa as well as emerging and developing markets. I am delighted to welcome her to Standard Chartered”
