Health Minister visits hospital where child with meningitis is being treated on the floor

The Minister of Health, Isaac Adewole, yesterday paid a surprise visit to Shagari Primary Health Center in Zamfara state where a child diagnosed with Cerebrospinal Meningitis was seen being
treated on the floor of the hospital. The health center lacks hospital bed.

Adewole afterwards had a meeting with the state governor, Abdulaziz Yari, over the state of health facilities in his state. Yari last week blamed the Meningitis epidemic on the high level of immorality in the country.
